The Panhellenic Council co-sponsored a blood drive with the Interfraternity Council on Wednesday, March 10 on the Cornell campus.
Individuals from many Panhellenic chapters volunteered throughout the day working at both the check-in table as well as the canteen. These volunteers registered individuals willing to donate blood and also handed out beverages and snacks to those who had just completed their donations.
There were also many individuals from across the Tri-Council that came to donate blood. In total, there were 29 regular donations and 10 double red donations. The blood will be sent to the hospitals and be able to help 97 patients!
The blood drive was a great success and we look forward to our next drive this fall. We are currently planning to have the drive during Greek Week in order to encourage more participation from the fraternity and sorority community on the Cornell campus to both volunteer and donate blood at the drive.
